~ April 9 lost communication with Bruce.

April 15--Rescue mission w/Nerissa found 'hung' modem.  Power cycled and checked cables on deck.  Re-deployed in nearby spot.  Divers (Kim R. & George M) measured 17.7m to top of can, 25.3 m to master link.

RECOVERY--Plan was to pull ECOHAB April 30 with LBA0P divers off Nerissa, Catalina with Wrigley divers off Yellowfin May 1.   April 30 had horrible Santa Ana winds; motored offshore to Bruce, and too rough.  Cancelled entire day.  Would try next day as winds supposed to die.  Met at 5am and decided to cancel again, as winds were still blowing.  Drove to Long Beach, and no wind up there. Salvaged that day by rounding up crew and wrigley divers after initially cancelling and heading over about noon.  During that time, Dennis (skipper of Yellowfin) agreed to go the next day (Friday) to retrieve the two ECOHAB instruments.  Eric Reinecker came down from MBARI, joining Jim Citanovich from SCMI and we retrieved Mack and Bruce.  Back at SCMI around 1pm.  Flatbed loaded by 4:30.  Returned to MBARI next day (Saturday).

Sulfur Cycling (Moran)--Monterey Bay

Sep 18--Went out in Paragon w/ 2 divers (Eric R & Lisa Z.).  Pulled ~0.5mi toward M0.  Now at 36.83480 -121.89800 at 5-8m.  Sampling has resumed.
